Karlee Collins-Turner, MT-BC – Founder
I’ve been a board-certified music therapist for 2.5 years, working with children, adolescents, and adults. I started teaching private percussion lessons to family friends in undergrad, which later grew into contracting with local school districts as their private lesson instructor for percussion. As students got to know me and my degree in music therapy, they became interested in learning other instruments I offered like piano, guitar, voice, and ukulele. We learn together through songwriting, improvising, listening, and so much more.
Teaching in schools gave me the opportunity to facilitate groups, building a love for community and music. My music therapy training helps me facilitate individualized experiences within the communities around me all while empowering others and promoting resilience. Music can be a resource for anyone!
